These Terms of Service apply when you request a quote from, or engage, us for waterproofing or leak-detection services. By using this website or engaging us, you agree to these terms.
Who you are contracting with
The services described on this website are provided under the ‘Maawa’ brand by Tahir Bin Yousaf Technical Services L.L.C., a company licensed in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (‘we’, ‘us’, ‘Maawa’). All quotations, invoices and service agreements are issued by and contracted with Tahir Bin Yousaf Technical Services L.L.C.
Quotations & pricing
Our fixed quotes are based on the photos, videos, site survey and property conditions as presented to us. If materially undisclosed conditions are discovered once work begins — for example a saturated screed or corroded reinforcement hidden under tiles — we will give you a revised quote and agree it with you before any further work continues. We do not add charges after the work is completed.
If it leaks again: return visits
We do not issue a written warranty certificate. Instead, if water comes through an area we waterproofed after handover, contact us and we will come back to inspect it.
If the cause is a defect in our materials or workmanship, we will carry out the repair at no additional cost.
Return visits do not cover areas outside the agreed scope; damage caused after handover by others (for example drilling, new fixtures or removing tiles over the membrane); structural movement or cracking beyond what the system is designed for; or blocked roof and terrace drains. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under UAE law.
A leak-detection report identifies the most likely source of water based on the tests carried out on the day. It is not, on its own, a guarantee that no other source exists.
Your obligations
To let us deliver the work, you agree to:
- provide safe and timely access to the property;
- obtain and cooperate on any community or building work permits, NOCs and access arrangements that are required — we can help coordinate these;
- give us accurate and complete information about the property and its condition, including any previous waterproofing or repairs;
- keep the waterproofed area unused and undisturbed for the curing and flood-test time we advise.
Payment terms
All amounts are in UAE Dirham (AED). Payment terms, including any deposit and the payment schedule, are set out in your quote and invoice. We may pause scheduled work where agreed payments remain outstanding, after letting you know.
Cancellation & rescheduling
You may reschedule or cancel by contacting us as early as possible. Where work has already been scheduled or materials ordered, reasonable costs already incurred may be payable. We will always confirm any such amount with you before charging it.
Liability
We provide our services with reasonable care and skill. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or in connection with the services is limited to the value of the services provided. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for damage caused by water entering from sources outside the scope we worked on.
Force majeure
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to extreme weather, utility or supply failures, building-access restrictions, or acts of government.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai. The courts of Dubai have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them, including for work carried out in Sharjah.
